Industry Quality Standards

Quality standards and professional membership

GAP training holds the matrix standard, the quality standard for information, advice and guidance.

‘The matrix standard is focused on ensuring the quality of information, advice and guidance for the support and development of people. It signals that people are being supported to achieve their potential’.

Registration number: 00311 - 00001

As members of GoSkills, the sector skills council for passenger transport, we are at the forefront of ongoing development of training programmes for the industry.

‘ENTO is unique in that it represents, across all sectors, those whose occupation requires them to deal with people in the workplace: information, advice and guidance people; personnel staff; recruitment consultants; trade union and learning representatives; and health and safety at work practitioners’.

Everyone who works for GAP Training is a member of ENTO and the Institute for Learning (IfL).

‘The Institute for Learning (IfL) is the professional body for teachers, trainers, tutors and trainee teachers in the further education and skills sector. By listening to and supporting the needs of our members, we continue to raise the status of teaching practitioners across the sector. We celebrate the diverse nature of the sector, including adult and community learning, emergency and public services, further education colleges, Ministry of Defence and armed services, the voluntary sector, offender education and work-based learning’.
